USA

Team USA is enjoying its best run in history. Prior to the 2014/2015 season, the Eagles had never finished better than 10th on the World Series, and in the last three years they’ve finished sixth twice and a record fifth in 2016/2017. Going into the upcoming World Series, the Eagles are one of the most feared teams in the world. Madison Hughes typically leads the team as the captain. He finished third in the world in points scored last season. Leading the world in tries and scoring was Perry Baker, the lightning quick American wing. In addition to the quickness of Hughes and Baker, the Eagles have a deep stable of bruising forwards. And thanks in large part to the kicking of Folau Niua, they led the world in kickoffs retained last season, too. Team USA is well-rounded and will be a contender in San Jose.
