England - Sevens Rugby

England

England finished second on the World Series last season, winning tournament titles in South Africa and Canada. The team spring boarded into the effort after Great Britain won Silver at the Rio Olympics. Though there were Welsh and Scottish players on Team GB, too, it was heavily influenced by the English, with captain Tom Mitchell and coach Simon Amor also fulfilling those roles for their native England. Like the USA, England has a great mixture of pace and power, but with all of its players having grown up with the game. England has its sights set on claiming the Sevens World Cup title in 2018, back here in the Bay Area, and parlaying it into a successful Olympic campaign in 2020.
