Arkansas State vs Michigan - Collegiate Rugby Championship

The Arkansas State Red Wolves started off their CRC with a 17-5 win over the Michigan Wolverines. Arkansas State wasted no time in this one, getting on the board just 35 seconds in with a try from Alex Goff and a conversion from Tom Hausrrer. They would add another try a few minutes later from Ruann Knuppel to go up 12-0. Michigan had some opportunities to break the Arkansas State lines, but failed to do so early in the first half. They finally brought the ball to their half of the field, but couldn’t find any consistent flow. Cole Van Harn finally broke the try line at the end of the half to cut the Arkansas State lead to seven. Fantastic team play from the Red Wolves led to an early second-half try for Hausrrer and a 17-5 lead. Michigan tried to get back in the game, but turnovers cost them big-time chances.
