Boston College vs Indiana - Collegiate Rugby Championship

Match Recap

A year removed from a semifinal appearance, this is not where the Indiana University Hoosiers had expected to find themselves at the close of Day 1. Still the Hoosiers wanted to win this match. Alex Dorrier, a selection for last year’s CRC Dream Team, scored first for Indiana and added the conversion. A short while later he added a second try. This time, his conversion was not on the mark. Dacoda Worth joined the mix with a try under the post; Dorrier added the conversion.

Boston College started the second half on better footing with a try by Joe Souza. But Dorrier continued his strong run of form in the match and completed his hat trick to make it 24–5. Brian Hannon’s try in the final seconds made it 29–5. Taking out a little frustration for a disappointing showing, IU added one more score through Fred Barry to come away winner (34–5).
