The final day of competition kicked off with Christendom v. Claremont to earn a spot in the National Small College Rugby Organization (NSCRO) final. Claremont’s Matt Sill crossed in the right corner three minutes into the first half for the 5–0 lead.

A tremendous run and fend by Thomas Audino got Christendom back in it. And Christendom added another through Vince Duhig to close the half. The conversion by Audino made it 12–5.

In the second half, Claremont’s Zach Bern managed to snag a pass for an unconverted score. That left CLaremont behind by two. That changed when Matt Sill found some space and scored his second of the match. Matthew Grundlingh added the conversion to make it 17–12 with seventy seconds to go.

In the final thirty seconds of the match, Claremont won a penalty inside the Christendom ten-meter line, upsetting the strong Crusaders crowd. Before the hooter, Christendom regained possession and looked to avoid any errors with the clocking showing triple zeroes. In the end, it was not to be for the Crusaders, as Claremont held on for the win: Claremont 17, Christendom 12.
