Match Summary

Winner of this match was set to top the pool and advance to the quarterfinal. LT Thomas put his team in a good position to take that prize with an early try, converted by JP Aguirre Romero to make it 7–0. The hard yards were accumulated Wesley White, but the glory and try went to Nick Feakes, capped again by Aguirre Romero for a full two-score Lions lead. As the half came to a close, Lindenwood was shown a yellow card and Wisconsin was awarded a penalty try to keep Wisconsin in the match, only behind 14–7 to start the second half.

The second half started with Aguirre Romero breaking free for a five-pointer to return it to a two-score game. But Wisconsin still had fight in them, with Tyler Crass scoring a Badgers try. The conversion was poorly taken, keeping it 19–12 in favor of the Lions.

On a seemingly forward pass, Deion Mikesell ran ninety meters for an important score. Nick Taylor added the conversion for 26–12. Augie Augspurg’s scamper in the waning minutes made it 31–12 in favor of Lindenwood, where the margin remained at full time.
