Another great try for Erick Bleakley under the posts, followed by Cole Euverard’s conversion, produced a 7–0 lead for the Naval Academy. The restart went to Navy and quickly worked to Bleakley for his second converted try. The Nittany Lions closed the half with a converted try thanks to Jesse Capriotti and the boot of Christian Alvarez to make it 14–7.
In the ninth minute, Navy found paydirt through Michael Galvan and a third conversion by Euverard. Penn State kept it close with Connor Dellapina’s try at the midway mark of the second half. Dellapina’s conversion attempt slammed off the post, leaving it a two-score match. The Nittany Lions were unable to overcome the lingering nine-point deficit, ending the Penn State tournament early.
