St. Joseph's vs Notre Dame - Collegiate Rugby Championship

The Fighting Irish of Notre Dame won the CRC Bowl with a gritty, thrilling 22-17 win over the St. Joseph’s Hawks. Notre Dame drew first blood with a try from Ryan Wilson to go up 5-0. However, Mike McGee quickly responded for the Hawks, scoring with less than a minute to go. The conversion gave St. Joe’s a 7-5 lead late in the half. Chris Curcio added one more to increase St. Joe’s’ lead to 12-5 at halftime. Notre Dame got a try early in the second half from Richard Kessler, and the conversion tied the game with over five minutes to go. A beautiful kick a head, plus one or two gratuitous bounces, gave James Wolfer the go-ahead try for St Joe’s with over three minutes to play. The Irish responded to tie the match with over a minute to go with a Ryan Wilson try while wearing only one shoe. Notre Dame won the game on a last-second try by Luc Joseph as the horn sounded.
