Temple vs Navy - Collegiate Rugby Championship

The Navy Midshipmen held off a second-half attack from the Temple Owls to win 12-7. The game began with a furious pace, especially from Navy. The Midshipmen had the early possession advantage, but couldn’t break through for a try. Just under four minutes in, Gardy Lebon finally got around the Temple defense and put Navy up 5-0. Then, following a battle for possession, John Ruck found the ball and crossed the try line untouched. Jack McAuliffe added a conversion to bring Navy’s lead to 12-0. Temple finally got on the board at 7:45 with a try from Anthony Sciarra. They would add a conversion to cut the Navy lead to five at half. Temple tried to keep that momentum going, but couldn’t seem to beat the strong Navy defenses. Some sloppy plays and dropped balls did not help either. Just when Temple looked ready to break through, the final whistle blew.
