U. of California vs Arizona - Collegiate Rugby Championship

Cal will have a shot to win their fourth straight Men’s CRC Cup after they beat Arizona 38-5 in the Men’s Cup Semifinal. This one was all Cal from the start. With the early push, Russell Webb got over and converted to put the Golden Bears up 7-0. After that, William Fuller got to work, putting on relentless pressure to score twice in a short span to extend the lead to 19-0. Anthony Salaber put in work on the defense to score one more for Cal before half. The Golden Bears took a 26-0 lead into halftime. It didn’t get better for Arizona in the second half. Fawzi Kawash took a nice feed and scored easily to push Cal to a 33-0 lead. Arizona had solid offensive possession for the first time in the match, and looked to avoid the shutout, but a knock on stymied that attempt and led to a turnover. The Wildcats would get it back, though, and Matt Rogers put together some fancy footwork to put Arizona on the board. Cal added one more try for good measure from Will Fuller to give him the hat trick and Cal the 38-5 win. Cal will face UCLA for the Pete Dawkins Trophy.
