U. of California vs Boston College - Collegiate Rugby Championship

The Cal Bears started their CRC title defense off with a 33-5 win over the Boston College Eagles. Boston College got the scoring started just 48 seconds into the game when John Greeley broke through the Cal defenses and beat everybody to the try line. It was all Cal for the remainder of the half, as they held the ball for a long time in their end. Alec Gletzer tied the game at 5-5 at 4:40 of the half, and Jake Anderson put the Golden Bears on top. Nick Boyer added on another try to give Cal a 19-5 lead at half. In the second half, Cal held possession again early. Anthony Salaber for Cal went untouched past the try line early in the half. The Eagles got possession back briefly, but Cal easily stopped them. Jesse Milne added one more try for the Bears to finish off the game.
