U. of California vs Michigan - Collegiate Rugby Championship

The Cal Golden Bears showed why they are the defending champions and absolutely dominated the Michigan Wolverines, 31-0. Cal got their scoring started early with a slicing-and-dicing try from Anthony Salaber. Andrew Battaglia tacked on another just moments later. Two conversions put Cal up 14-0 in the first three minutes of the match. Battaglia got his second of the match with under a minute to play in the half on a gorgeous passing play near the try line. Nick Boyer waltzed past the try line as time expired in the first half to secure a big 24-0 lead at the half. But, the Cal rout was just beginning. Miles Honens sashayed through multiple defenders down the sideline for a try just over a minute into the second half. Michigan didn’t even get the ball into their end of the field until the final few minutes of the second half.
