U. of Colorado vs Indiana - Collegiate Rugby Championship

Men’s Pool C, Colorado v. Indiana: Indiana struck first with a try in the right corner by Cam McCarthy midway into the second minute. A penalty on the Buffaloes shortly after the restart put the Hoosiers on the front foot inside the Colorado ten-meter. Following a yellow card to Colorado’s Jared Reich, the Hoosiers struggled to find paydirt, conceding a penalty at the Colorado five-meter line. As the half drew to a close, McCarthy dotted down in the corner to extend the Hoosiers’ lead to ten. In the process, Jack Miller was cited for a late hit on McCarthy, setting up Indiana to start the second half with a seven-on-five advantage.
With Colorado back to six players, after holding off the Hoosiers with just five men, Case Fleck got the Indiana in for a third try. Fleck soon made it a brace of tries with his score at the close of the eleventh minute. A yellow card on Dan Hughes opened up space for Colorado to grab its first points with a minute to play. Playing with no time left on the clock, the Hoosiers won a penalty and booted to touch to come out on top. On full time, Indiana 22, Colorado 5.
