Policies - Collegiate Rugby Championship

Policies

  • Teams must be within good standing at their University;
  • Teams must be part of an accredited four (4) year institution;
  • Teams may not represent online Universities;
  • All participating players must meet USA Rugby’s collegiate eligibility requirements;
  • All players on the team must carry insurance either through USA Rugby’s CIPP program, or an equivalent. If an equivalent, players and team must provide proof of insurance prior to competing;
  • Should a team advance to the CRC via an official CRC qualifier, the team must agree to fulfill the minimum CRC participation requirements;
  • Teams may not compete in two or more qualifiers;
  • Teams are ineligible to compete in the CRC if they have previously qualified for another division of the CRC, e.g., NSCRO, Freedom Cup, etc;
  • Teams gaining entry to the CRC via a qualifier are only eligible to compete in the CRC for the year during which the qualification occurred;
  • The only entry into the CRC is through a qualifying tournament or invitation;
  • All qualifying tournaments will be approved by UWS;
  • If the winner of a qualifying tournament is deemed ineligible or is unable to fulfill the CRC requirements, UWS holds the right to use that spot in the tournament as another invite;
  • All CRC teams and participants are at the sole discretion of Collegiate Rugby Championship LLC
