Team Summary

The Claremont Colleges are a consortium of five small private liberal arts colleges and two graduate colleges. Claremont McKenna College, Harvey Mudd College, Pitzer College, Pomona College, and Scripps College are the five undergraduate institutions while Claremont Graduate University and Keck Graduate Institute are the two graduate institutions. The Claremont College Lions Rugby program has members from four of the undergraduate institutions.
The Claremont Colleges have competed in NSCRO for the past four years, making it to the Final 4 in three of the last four years. For the second time in the last four years the Lions qualified for both the 15s and 7s NSCRO National Championships. The Lions finished the 2017-18 campaign with a record of 10-3 record in 15s, losing only to two D1A programs and in the NSCRO National Championship. During that campaign the Lions won the Gold Coast Conference Intercollegiate Rugby Division IAA league and the NSCRO PacWest. In 7s the Lions competed in two regional qualifiers, going 9-1 overall and winning the Elon Qualifier.
